Our dryer had begun to emit a burning smell during operation, which was concerning enough to stop using it immediately. The technician identified a piece of clothing that had wrapped around the heating element — a hazard he described as surprisingly common. He also cleared a significant lint buildup from the drum area and exhaust path. The dryer has operated normally and safely since. Glad I called promptly.
The circulation pump in our Electrolux dishwasher had partially failed, resulting in poor water pressure during cycles and dishes that were not being properly cleaned. The technician diagnosed the pump motor as the cause and replaced it. He also serviced the filter assembly and ran two test cycles before confirming the repair was complete.
